    • Visit the University of the Free State Website: https://www.ufs.ac.za/.
    • On the Home page: Navigate the main MENU and click on the ‘Students’ tab.
    • After entering the students page, click the ‘Student Self Service’ tab on the active KovsieLife webpage.
    • After clicking on ‘Student Self Service’, you will be navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system.
    • Once you have navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system: Type in your student number in the User ID text box; type in your password in the Password text box; and click ‘Sign In’ once you have typed in your student number and password.
    • Once you have successfully logged in on Oracle PeopleSoft, the system will Take you to the ‘Student Services Center’.
    • Find the Application Status Section: Once logged in, navigate to the Student Services Center page and look for the link that says, “View Application Status”. Click the ‘View Application’ link to track your application(s) status.
    • Check and verify your application status: After clicking the link, your application status information will be displayed. Here, you will be able to see if your application has been received, is being processed, or if a decision has already been made.

    If your application is accepted, you will be provided with instructions on the steps to follow to complete your registration. If the application is rejected, check the reasons provided and see if there is an opportunity to appeal or take another appropriate action.

    Administrative withdrawal

    An academic programme has been withdrawn from

    consideration for admission or from enrolment in a class. This

    could be due to multiple reasons:

    • Duplicate application

    • Data captured incorrectly

    • The programme has reached its capacity (full)

    •Student did not enrol for the relevant year of admission

    •Student has changed a programme choice

    • Student is no longer eligible to enrol due to not meeting the

    university’s progression rules

    WAIT

    Waitlist

    Application assessed and admission offer pending availability of

    Space. Your application meets the required qualifications, but due to limited space, you have been placed on a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, you may be invited to join the university.

    WAPP

    Applicant withdrawal

    Applicant withdrew from consideration for admission or

    enrolment in a class
