Purpose of the role:
The aim of a Guarding Area Manager is to ensure that the Guarding Departments is managed in an efficient and professional way.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate-Grade 12
- Management experience (Min 3 Years)
- PSIRA Registered Grade B
- Sound knowledge of the security industry
- Computer Literate (MS Office,
- advanced Excel, PowerPoint, internet and email)
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Valid Driver’s license
- Financial acumen
- Sound knowledge of Easy Roster System
- Sound knowledge of HR/IR
Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive):
- Ensure clients complaints and queries are dealt with in an efficient manner.
- Ensure staff turnover is well monitored.
- Ensure administrative duties are well carried out.
- Ensure that the budget is well maintained
- Ensure that you are well knowledgeable and attend all meetings
- Ensure SOPs are adhered to at all times
- Investigate all queries received
- Implement correction functions
- Feedback to appropriate person
- Telephonic assistance with any problems or complaints
- Give full feedback to clients where necessary
- Managing client expectations
- Keep staff turnover of to the minimum
- Moral of key personnel
- Discipline of key personnel
- Daily reports i.e. absenteeism, dockets
- Completion and update of all relevant registers
- Shift / Site rosters
- Disciplinary actions / Hearings
- Personnel files
- Manage BPSI device / platform
- Checking of timebooks
- Payroll issues / Sim payslips
- Fleet matters (area)
- Uniform
- Training
- Staff welfare
- Salaries & Overtime
- Vehicles
- Equipment
- Have expert knowledge about all facets pertaining to your position
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Keep your workstation/office neat and tidy at all times
- Not abuse company telephone for private calls
- Monthly meetings with all relevant clients
- Monthly assessments regarding service delivery
- Attend to all any PTT issues (internal / External)
